Detailed Survey Work for preparation of Detailed Project Report of the proposed Karru Irrigation Scheme in Block Bagmundi, District Purulia, West Bengal India
The river Karru is a tributary of river Subarnarekha. It originates in Purulia district and flows through block-Bagmundi before confluence into river Subarnarekha. Water flows through the river only during monsoon season and the flow in lean period is almost nil. It is planned by the Irrigation & Waterways Department to construct a suitable dam or series of dams across river Karru or other rivers and streams in the catchment area of the dam in block-Bagmundi to create a storage which can be used for irrigation purpose for in the said water stressed block.

Collection of the water samples from each of the Hydrograph network station to ascertain its chemical characteristics. Installation of the plaque at each location.
